Job summary

Vanguard EMS, Inc. in Beaverton, OR is seeking a Mechanical Test Engineer - Environmental to own production test equipment and fixtures.

This hands‑on role supports a new environmental test area and expands our environmental test capabilities. You will work with Production, Quality and Product teams, design fixtures, lead validation, automate data collection, and drive improvements through DOE and process analysis.

Qualifications

• Engineering bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
• Customer service oriented with excellent communication.
• US Citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select and qualify environmental test equipment.
• Design test fixtures and harnessing for environmental test applications.
• Lead validation and verification of new test equipment and tooling.
• Establish facilities requirements for new environmental test area; coordinate with Facilities.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Automate processes and data collection for efficiency and analysis.
• Drive DOE, data analysis and process improvements.
