Basic Job Functions

Nucor Steel Gallatin is seeking a leader for the position of Environmental Manager. Responsibilities include:

• Divisional leadership in achieving Nucor's Mission through the safety and development of our team and the successful execution of the Sheet Mill Group strategy.
• Leading the division's environmental activities, including environmental systems operations, permitting and compliance, relationships with state and federal environmental agencies, and community outreach.
• The safety, performance, and development of the Environmental team.
• Partnering with all departments to drive continuous improvement Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Requirements

• Three years of leadership experience
• Environmental leadership experience
• Experience with environmental regulations and compliance standards
• Understanding of baghouse and water systems operations and maintenance
• Must have a General Manager recommendation
