Job summary

RT Specialty is seeking an Inside Broker to join our Environmental Liability practice. This role is ideal for an environmental insurance professional who can solve complex placement challenges and build trusted relationships with retail brokers and carrier partners.

Qualifications

• Experience in Environmental Liability underwriting or wholesale brokerage.
• Strong knowledge of environmental risks, coverages, and market solutions.
• Familiarity with products such as Pollution Legal Liability, Contractors Pollution Liability, Site Pollution Liability, and other environmental and E&S casualty products.
• Ability to evaluate and clearly explain coverage, exclusions, and risk exposures.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• High level of accountability, initiative, and follow-through.
• Interest in developing business and growing broker relationships.
• Ability to work effectively in a specialized, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze environmental liability submissions.
• Develop placement strategies for new and renewal business.
• Market accounts to carrier partners.
• Negotiate coverage, pricing, and terms.
• Support retail brokers with complex environmental risks and placements.
• Build and maintain strong broker and carrier relationships.
• Identify opportunities to develop and grow business.
• Collaborate with environmental specialists to deliver effective client solutions.
