Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) is seeking a Laboratory Analyst I to prepare and analyze environmental samples following EPA methods and QA programs. The role involves routine lab tasks, sample prep, data calculation, and instrument maintenance, with training on GC, GC-MS, AAS, and ICP.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Chemistry, have 1–2 years of related experience, and can work a full-time schedule in Buffalo, NY. Compliance with EHS, safety, and quality standards is required.

Qualifications

• A BS degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience is required.

• Performs routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs.
• Preparation of samples using standard techniques
• Performing chemical analysis using standard techniques

• Recording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisor
• Performing routine instrument maintenance
• Responsible for performing job functions in compliance with QA standards
• Responsible for general housekeeping in his/her work area
• Ability to become trained on complex instrumentation including GC, GC-MS, AAS, ICP, and instrument data systems
• Works under close supervision using routine methods
• Aliquots and weighs samples
• Washes glassware
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned
