Job summary

Elanco in Clinton, IN is hiring an Environmental Control Laboratory Technician to perform accurate testing of lab samples in accordance with GMP and safety guidelines. You will support the Environmental Control Lab through wastewater discharge assays, spill containment, and timely compliance reporting.

The role emphasizes thorough documentation, SOP updates, and operation of instrumentation including GC, TOC, and Karl Fischer.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Analytical laboratory experience.
• Top Skills: Strong documentation and organizational skills with the ability to maintain interpersonal communication in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform field sampling, testing, and operation of the site's waste treatment unit while proactively following all safety and PPE requirements.
• Recognize and respond to spill events by identifying releases to the discharge stream and operating the spill capture system to ensure containment.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and perform minor maintenance on lab instrumentation including standardization and QA conformance checks.
• Maintain and update SOPs, GPs, and OPs to ensure procedural compliance and accurate documentation of laboratory methods.
• Support investigations into incidents affecting the lab and contribute to annual DMRQA and WET testing through data entry and validation in the DMS system.
