Job summary

Eurofins seeks a Laboratory Analyst I for its Drinking Water & Wastewater division in Columbia (Irmo), SC. This full-time, first-shift position involves preparing and analyzing environmental samples using standard EPA methods and maintaining instrumentation under supervision.

The ideal candidate will hold a chemistry degree (or equivalent experience), with GMP/GLP knowledge and strong English skills. Eligible candidates must work in the US without sponsorship and reside within a commutable

Qualifications

• BS or BA in chemistry or related field; 3 years laboratory experience may substitute for degree.
• Laboratory experience is a plus
• Previous production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines)
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Professional working proficiency in English (read, write, speak)

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility
• Performs routine lab tasks including preparation of samples, chemical analysis, data calculation and reporting
• Performs routine instrument maintenance
• Adheres to Eurofins’ EHS and QA standards
• Maintains clean work area and proper glassware handling
• Becomes trained on complex instrumentation including GC, GC/MS, AAS, ICP and data systems
