Job summary

HGS Engineering, Inc. in Oxford, AL seeks a Laboratory Technician to support daily lab operations. You will prepare reagents, enter data into LIMS, maintain equipment, and ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand or sit for long periods, and work in a team or independently as needed. Full-time, 40 hours/week with on-site duties in Oxford, Alabama.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in a field of science or health (required).
• Bachelors Degree in biology or chemistry (preferred).
• Laboratory experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Follow laboratory SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Prepare reagents and materials for daily or weekly use.
• Data entry and record keeping in lab records and LIMS.
• Maintain and operate laboratory equipment.
• Report equipment issues to management promptly.
• Dispose of biohazard and hazardous waste per policies.
• Perform Legionella and HPC assays per SOPs and standards.
• Perform DNA amplification via PCR as required.
