Job summary

SPL is seeking a Laboratory Technician for our Reading, PA environmental lab on the 2nd shift. You will prepare samples, enter data in LIMS, and support QC and safety initiatives to ensure accurate, compliant results. This role offers hands-on instrumentation work and growth in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Hands-on lab experience from work, internships, or coursework.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-throughput environments preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare environmental samples following established methods.
• Enter and review sample prep data in LIMS with accuracy.
• Perform routine QC activities for sample prep processes.
• Follow SOPs, QA/QC, safety protocols, and chain-of-custody procedures.
• Support lab workflow and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with team to meet throughput and turnaround goals.
• Assist with housekeeping, glassware cleaning, and inventory.
• Other duties as assigned.
