Job summary

Eurofins New Orleans laboratory is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily operations, perform asbestos and mold analyses, and maintain QA processes. You will train staff, manage scheduling, and ensure timely reporting while adhering to EPA, AIHA, NVLAP, and OSHA standards.

The role is full-time, on-site in New Orleans, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance, using PLM techniques and related tests to support environmental testing services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a scientific field.
• 3 years of experience in a commercial testing laboratory.
• Background in analytical microscopy preferred.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Professional working proficiency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily analytical operations and reporting.
• Conduct analysis of asbestos and mold samples.
• Supervise, train, schedule and evaluate laboratory staff.
• Coordinate workload from initial sample receipt to final reporting.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (EPA, AIHA, NVLAP, OSHA).
• Implement QA/QC practices and documentation of calibrations and equipment maintenance.
• Troubleshoot analytical, methodological and instrumentation issues.
• Support staff with training, scheduling and priorities.
• Manage inventory, procurement and maintenance of lab equipment.
• Collaborate with management to improve processes and promote growth.
• Enforce laboratory safety protocols.
