Job summary

Pace Analytical Services in Indiana seeks a Scientist to join our environmental testing laboratory. In this role you’ll conduct hands-on analysis, ensuring the integrity and quality of environmental data that protects communities and ecosystems.

You’ll work with instruments such as GC, HPLC, ICP, and more; analyze air, water, and soil samples; document procedures; maintain lab records; calibrate and maintain equipment. Requires a Bachelor's in Chemistry or Biochemistry; training provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related STEM field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods and wearing PPE.

Responsibilities

• Work with instruments such as GC, HPLC, ICP and more.
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry methods.
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis.
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality laboratory records.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
