Job summary

Pace Analytical Services invites a Scientist to join our environmental testing laboratory in Indiana. In this role, you will perform hands-on analysis of air, water, and soil samples, using established chemistry and biochemistry methods to detect contaminants and ensure data quality.

You will document results and maintain instrument performance. We require a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related STEM field, with the ability to work in a lab and wear PPE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or STEM is required or equivalent
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods and wearing PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves)

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on analysis within our laboratories and ensure integrity of environmental data
• Analyze air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry/biochemistry methods
• Review and interpret results from sample analysis and document procedures and observations
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality laboratory records
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment
