Job summary

Pace Labs is seeking a Scientist to perform hands-on analysis of environmental samples in our Minnesota laboratory. You will operate instruments, review results, and document procedures to ensure data integrity while following safety protocols and PPE requirements.

The role emphasizes flexibility in shift coverage, with a standard 40-hour week and weekend first-shift coverage on Saturdays and Sundays. A chemistry-related STEM degree is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other STEM fields.
• Willing to receive training.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment and wear PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves).

Responsibilities

• Work with instruments to analyze air, water, and soil samples using established chemistry and biochemistry methods looking for environmental contaminants.
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis.
• Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain high-quality, organized laboratory records.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
