Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation offers environmental internship/co-op opportunities in Findlay, Ohio, designed for students pursuingEngineering or Environmental Science degrees. Interns work alongside experienced professionals to support Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (HES&S) programs and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include policy interpretation, program development, engineering design reviews, and staying current with environmental regulations.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science.
Concurrent enrollment for the duration of the internship.
Available to work on site 40 hours per week.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
MIN - $24.09 per hour / MAX - $43.23 per hour

Responsibilities

Interpret and/or develop company environmental policies and guidelines; develop methods to implement and assure conformance.
Provide guidance on establishing programs and procedures to implement requirements, including budget inputs; monitor compliance.
Design and/or review environmental equipment/systems and determine engineering specifications.
Identify and investigate environmental problems to determine causes and recommend improvements.
Keep up to date with environmental legislation and regulatory actions; prepare impact assessments and permits as required.
Develop environmental information, manuals, training material and programs; inform employees of related policies and procedures; conduct training sessions.
