Job summary

Navajo Transitional Energy Company, LLC is offering an Environmental Engineering Internship at the Spring Creek Coal Mine in Wyoming. The role involves shadowing mine operations, supporting compliance inspections, and performing field work to support environmental projects.

You will conduct engineering research, write technical reports, and collaborate with departments while adhering to MSHA safety practices and regulations.

Qualifications

• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).

• Possess a valid State driver’s license and maintain a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Shadow operations at the Spring Creek Coal Mine and learn processes.
• Assist with compliance inspections (weekly waste, SPCC, SWPPP).
• Conduct field work including signs, gauges, reclamation counts, and sediment checks.
• Support engineering evaluations, research, and technical reporting.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet department goals.
• Follow MSHA regulations and report safety hazards as required.
