Job summary

Georgia-Pacific (GP) is seeking an Environmental Intern for Summer 2027 at Alabama River Cellulose in Perdue Hill, AL. This 12‑week internship builds environmental skills in a manufacturing setting and prepares you for a career in EH&S within GP.

You will work with an experienced mentor, gain hands‑on training, and contribute to environmental excellence and sustainability initiatives while learning about Koch’s leadership principles and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Rising Sophomore or Junior in a bachelor's degree program or alternative program.
• Ability to relocate per program requirements.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without visa sponsorship.
• Eligible for full‑time employment in the Summer of 2028.

Responsibilities

• Be an integral part of the facility team with a mentor.
• Receive hands-on training and practical application of environmental practices.
• Participate in activities to drive environmental excellence and sustainability.
• Complete a skill-building opportunity preparing for a career in EH&S at GP.
• Understand, develop, and apply Principle Based Management.
