Job summary

Langan is seeking an Intern/Co-op - Environmental to join its team in Doylestown, PA. You will assist with environmental aspects of diverse land development projects, including field work, reports, calculations and site documentation.

You will work closely with environmental leadership, gain exposure to feasibility studies, and learn to use field equipment and environmental modeling tools in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
• GPA 3.0 or greater.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and judgment skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Familiar with GIS or environmental software and MS Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field investigations: logging borings, sampling, tests, data collection.
• Monitor construction projects for compliance with specifications via tests.
• Identify solutions and document results.
• Prepare reports of field investigations and analyses.
• Prepare logs and field forms (drilling logs, dailies, chain of custody).
• Learn data management and environmental modeling tools and field equipment.
• Conduct file reviews, site reconnaissance, and prepare reports.
• Prepare laboratory data summaries and figures.
• Assess soil, terrain, hydrology, topography, and geology for project design impact.
• Perform other duties as requested.
