Job summary

Langan is seeking an Intern/Co-op - Environmental in Doylestown, PA to support environmental aspects of diverse land development projects. You will work with environmental leadership, participate in site feasibility studies, field work, reporting, and calculations.

The role offers exposure to design plans, specifications, and field equipment, with mentoring and training to build technical skills for a career in environmental engineering and consulting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.
• Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
• Working knowledge of GIS or environmentally related software, and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Travel may be required based on business needs and project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and execution of field investigations by logging borings, collecting samples, performing field tests and recording data.
• Monitor construction projects by performing tests to evaluate compliance with specifications.
• Identify solutions to field and/or laboratory problems and document results.
• Prepare reports documenting field investigations and analytical results.
• Prepare field logs and forms (drilling logs, daily logs, chain of custody logs).
• Learn data management and modeling tools for environmental media and how to perform engineering analyses.
