Job summary

Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. (MSG) is offering an Environmental Intern - Summer 2027 position in Waynesburg, PA.

The intern will support active projects, assist with fieldwork, data collection, analysis, and the preparation of plans and reports under supervision of experienced engineers and environmental staff. Responsibilities include site inspections, data management, GIS data handling, and contributing to project documentation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering or related program (environmental science, surveying, construction mgmt, GIS, planning, landscape architecture, agriculture).

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with technical and administrative project tasks.
• Participate in construction/site inspections, field sampling, and testing as applicable.
• Collect, organize, analyze, and enter project data.
• Support the preparation of plans, drawings, and other materials using AutoCAD.
• Conduct office research and assist with reports and project documentation.
• Enter, update, and maintain GIS data.
• Participate in site visits and project meetings as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and follow MSG’s safety and quality standards.
• Perform other duties based on the intern’s area of study and project needs.
