Job summary

HF Sinclair, Sonneborn, an HF Sinclair company, is seeking a motivated Environmental Intern to join our team. This role supports the Environmental Department by assisting staff with environmental projects, tasks, and compliance activities, under close supervision.

You will gain hands-on experience in environmental programs and operations while contributing to data analysis, reporting, and documentation across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Some completed courses required for a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or Engineering (in progress).
• Junior-level coursework preferred.
• Strong analytical and data handling skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Familiarity with EPA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates project assignments with other environmental personnel and technicians in their discipline group.
• Conducts research and analysis of environmental and operating data.
• Provide reports from research and analysis with recommendations for improvement.
• Oversee entry of pertinent records and documentation of excess emissions and related operating data.
• Performs technical/regulatory analysis, field sampling and testing, and report preparation.
• Manage a project related to an environmental matter.
• Assists with other duties assigned by the Environmental Manager.
• Special assignments or tasks assigned by supervisor at supervisor’s discretion.
