Marathon Petroleum Corporation is offering internship and co-op opportunities for students pursuing degrees in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science. Interns work closely with seasoned professionals across refining, logistics, and natural gas services, handling policies, training, and compliance tasks.

Candidates must maintain concurrent enrollment, perform well academically, and be available on-site for 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science.
• Concurrent enrollment for the duration of the internship.
• Strong academic performance required.
• On-site availability for 40 hours per week.
• Valid driver’s license for work-related travel.
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsabilités

• Interpret and develop company environmental policies and guidelines.
• Provide guidance in program development and budget inputs; monitor compliance.
• Design/review environmental equipment specifications and cost estimates.
• Identify and investigate environmental issues and advise on preventive actions.
• Stay current with environmental legislation and regulatory actions; assist with impact assessments.
• Develop manuals, training materials, and programs; inform employees of policies.
