Deschutes County Health Services in Bend, OR is seeking an Environmental Health Supervisor to oversee environmental health programs, including food safety, drinking water, air quality, and vector control. You will supervise staff, partner with leadership, and develop innovative strategies to protect community health.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science or Public Health and at least five years in environmental health, plus driving and ability to obtain Oregon EH Registration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Public Health, or related field.
• AND five (5) years of experience in environmental health programs.
• OR any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills and knowledge to perform the essential functions of the job.

Responsabilités

• Program Oversight and Innovation: Supervises key multidisciplinary environmental health programs; identify hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
• Compliance and Enforcement: Ensure adherence to regulations; analyze data and maintain records.
• Staff and Community Engagement: Train and supervise staff; build partnerships and lead outreach events.
