About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Sanitation Supervisor to oversee sanitation operations in Welkom, Free State. You will be responsible for ensuring that all sanitation services, including waste management, public cleaning, and hygiene initiatives, are carried out efficiently and effectively. This position involves a mix of field supervision and administrative duties, requiring a flexible and organized approach to manage diverse responsibilities. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct the daily activities of sanitation teams, including waste collection, street cleaning, and public facility maintenance.
• Develop and implement sanitation plans and schedules to ensure efficient service delivery across the Welkom area.
• Conduct regular inspections of sanitation services to ensure compliance with health regulations and environmental standards.
• Manage the allocation and maintenance of equipment and resources for the sanitation department.

Requirements

• Knowledge of South African environmental health legislation, waste management regulations, and public hygiene principles.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
