Job summary

Interfor in Thomaston, Georgia, is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Supervisor to lead the site’s safety, environmental, and regulatory programs. You will drive training, audits, investigations, and continuous improvement to protect employees and the environment.

The role requires 5+ years of EHS experience in industrial manufacturing, a Bachelor's in Safety or related field, and strong Microsoft Office skills. CSP or equivalent certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of EHS experience in an industrial manufacturing setting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• CSP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Lead and support EHS programs, training, certifications, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and monitoring to identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Manage environmental programs, regulatory reporting, permits, records, and emergency preparedness activities.
