Environmental Health & Safety Manager - Stanley Access Technologies, Greenfield, IN

Position Overview

The Environmental Health & Safety Manager (EHS Manager) is responsible for ensuring EHS compliance and driving continuous improvement to achieve World Class EHS performance at Allegion Stanley Access Technologies manufacturing in Greenfield, IN.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with local, business, and corporate EHS teams to develop and implement strategic EHS initiatives and targets.
  2. Monitor environmental and sustainability performance using established metrics and KPIs, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  3. Integrate EHS considerations into business processes, decision-making, and planning.
  4. Participate in Gemba, MDI, and other business activities.
  5. Investigate incidents to identify root causes and systemic issues.
  6. Create employee engagement initiatives such as Safety Committees to promote a safer work environment.
  7. Lead Safety Committees and organize Kaizens to improve safety, health, and environmental conditions.
  8. Partner with teams to conduct and maintain risk assessments, including in change management processes.
  9. Maintain and audit EHS procedures, plans, permits, and SOPs.
  10. Develop emergency preparedness and incident response programs, and lead the site’s first responder team.
  11. Conduct environmental, health, and safety audits and communicate findings and recommendations.
  12. Develop and deliver training and awareness programs.
  13. Manage industrial hygiene and medical monitoring programs.
  14. Ensure timely reporting to regulatory agencies and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations.
  15. Support workers' compensation programs and return-to-work initiatives.
  16. Oversee security protocols and support external regulatory interactions.
  17. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental health & safety, business, or engineering.
  • At least 3 years of EHS experience in manufacturing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel 5-10%.
  • Knowledge of federal and local EHS regulations.
  • Professional certifications (CSP, CIH, CHMM, CEM) preferred.
  • Knowledge of IBC, FM Global, NFPA standards, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or OHSAS 18001 is a plus.
