Job Title: Environmental Health & Safety Manager
Job Description

The Environmental Health & Safety Manager serves as the Lead safety authority and leads the development, implementation, and ongoing execution of company-wide environmental health and safety programs. In this role, you partner closely with leadership, operations, engineering, production teams, onsite safety personnel, and field employees to establish consistent safety standards across facilities and customer deployment sites. This is a hands-on position that requires building EHS programs from the ground up, training employees, measuring safety performance, conducting jobsite assessments, and driving corrective actions through completion.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive environmental health and safety programs across all company facilities and customer deployment sites.
  • Partner with leadership, operations, engineering, production teams, onsite safety personnel, and field employees to establish and maintain consistent safety standards and practices.
  • Conduct regular jobsite and facility safety assessments in production, fabrication, industrial, and construction-related environments to identify hazards and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop, deliver, and continuously improve safety training programs for employees at all levels, ensuring clear understanding of EHS policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Review Pre-Task Plans (PTPs), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) and develop corrective-action strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Establish, track, and analyze safety performance metrics, including leading and lagging indicators, and present results and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Drive corrective actions from identification through completion, ensuring timely follow-up and verification of effectiveness.
  • Ensure strong compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations and standards, including OSHA, ANSI, and NFPA requirements.
  • Support hands-on production, manufacturing, construction, fabrication, and deployable systems operations with practical, field-focused safety guidance.
  • Organize and manage multiple EHS priorities across geographically dispersed projects and facilities, maintaining clear communication and alignment.
  • Lead and support safety audits and inspections, documenting findings and implementing sustainable improvements.
  • Develop and support return-to-work (RTW) programs and related safety initiatives that promote employee well-being and operational continuity.
  • Balance forward operational progress with appropriate stop-work decisions when conditions present unacceptable risk.
  • Create and maintain accurate EHS documentation, reports, and communication materials to support transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a visible safety leader and advocate, fostering a culture of accountability, awareness, and proactive risk management throughout the organization.
Essential Skills
  • 10 to 15 years of progressive safety experience in construction, industrial, mechanical systems, fabrication, modular construction, or a comparable service-based environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and leading environmental health and safety programs and initiatives with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations and standards, including OSHA, ANSI, and NFPA.
  • Experience reviewing Pre-Task Plans (PTPs), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) and developing effective corrective-action strategies.
  • Experience supporting hands-on production, manufacturing, construction, or deployable systems operations with direct safety oversight.
  • Proven ability to organize and manage multiple EHS priorities across geographically dispersed projects or facilities.
  • Experience creating safety performance metrics and presenting results and recommendations to all levels of an organization.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear training materials, documentation, and safety reports.
  • Effective training and presentation skills to engage diverse audiences and drive understanding of safety requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to build trust and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to balance operational progress with appropriate stop-work decisions when necessary to protect people and assets.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification preferred.
  • Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification preferred.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification preferred.
  • Experience with modular construction and fabrication safety environments.
  • Experience conducting safety audits and managing corrective action programs.
  • Familiarity with return-to-work (RTW) programs and related safety processes.
  • Comfort working in production, fabrication, industrial, and construction-related operations.
  • Ability to develop and refine safety training programs tailored to different operational settings.
  • Skill in using safety performance metrics to guide decision-making and continuous improvement.
Why Work Here?

You will have a unique opportunity to build and shape the environmental health and safety function rather than inheriting a fully established system, giving you real ownership and influence over how safety is managed. The role offers direct authority to impact EHS practices across the business and provides high visibility through close collaboration with leadership, engineering, production, operations, and field teams. You will help support a company that delivers mobile energy solutions to factories, EV charging locations, data centers, and critical infrastructure, contributing to meaningful, real-world outcomes. This environment values proactive safety leadership, cross-functional partnership, and the chance to create programs, standards, training, and performance measurements that leave a lasting positive impact.

Work Environment

The work environment spans production, fabrication, customer deployment, industrial, and construction-related operations, with regular interaction in hands-on, operational settings. You will support deployable systems and mobile energy solutions used in factories, EV charging locations, data centers, and other critical infrastructure sites. The role involves partnering closely with field teams and onsite personnel, conducting jobsite assessments, and working across multiple facilities and geographically dispersed projects. Expect a dynamic, fast-paced environment where safety leadership is visible on the floor and at deployment sites, and where practical, field-focused solutions are essential to success.
