Job summary

Lockheed Martin RMS is seeking an Environmental Safety and Health Engineer to ensure a safe, compliant workplace and to support cross-functional teams across RMS. The role emphasizes operational and strategic elements of the ESH management system and requires collaboration with RMS teams.

The candidate will apply OSHA and environmental standards, assist in facility changes, and help manage hazardous/radioactive waste disposal, spill-control, and regulatory communications with authorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience with 1+ year of professional experience.
• Experience with OSHA, safety and health standards, EPA, state and local environmental regulations and programs
• Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain/maintain a US DoD Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive environmental, safety, and health services to maintain a secure and compliant workplace.
• Focus areas may include ESH Training Management, Fall Protection, Emergency Evacuations & Crisis Management, Cranes & Slings, Hazard Communication, Ladder Safety, Machine Guarding, Aerial lifts, Powered Industrial Trucks
• Represent the organization at various levels, conveying the company's strategy and objectives
• Offer leadership and team support to ESH department members
