Job summary

Lockheed Martin in California seeks an Environmental Compliance professional to interpret and implement environmental, health and safety regulations, plan facility changes to meet new requirements, and manage licensing and permits.

You will source licensed waste disposal firms, organize spill-control teams, write manuals, prepare impact statements, and provide regulatory input through industry groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
• Experience in Environmental Program Management, Reporting, or Auditing.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Assist in planning facility changes to meet new environmental requirements.
• Find, evaluate and prepare contracts for licensed hazardous and radioactive waste disposal firms and monitor waste handling.
• Organize and equip spill-control teams.
• Write and update environmental and spill-control manuals and procedures.
• Prepare environmental impact statements and apply for permits and renewals.
• Provide input to federal and state regulators through trade associations and industry groups.
