Varian Medical Systems, a Siemens Healthineers company, is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Engineer. You will design and coordinate the implementation of EHS guidelines within the Varian/Siemens Healthineers landscape.

This role is onsite, Monday to Friday, with 70% in Palo Alto and 30% in San Jose.

What You Will Do

1. Develop and implement EHS processes and methods.
2. Plan and execute EHS programs, monitor milestones.
3. Audit and assess adherence to EHS standards, report findings.
4. Review and report on changes in EHS laws, recommend updates.
5. Support EHS audits and maintain compliance documentation.
6. Prepare reports for authorities and stakeholders.
7. Maintain contact with external authorities.
8. Train employees and management on EHS topics.
9. Stay updated on relevant regulations.
10. Develop and evaluate training for Powered Industrial Truck operators.
11. Manage HazMat Waste pickups by vendors.

What You Will Have

• Bachelor’s degree in science or environmental studies or 3-5 years of field experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat/Reader.
