This hands-on leadership role thrives in a manufacturing setting and focuses on safety and regulatory compliance on the plant floor.

The ideal candidate will drive EHS programs, strengthen PSM, and partner with operations to improve safety performance and environmental reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong Process Safety Management (PSM) experience in chemical/process manufacturing.
• Experience with OSHA, EPA, RCRA compliance.
• Self-starter who works independently and partners with plant leadership.
• Ability to lead safety initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Experience with hazardous waste management, air permitting, and environmental reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead all Environmental, Health & Safety programs for a specialty chemical manufacturing facility.
• Drive and strengthen the site's Process Safety Management (PSM) program.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, RCRA and environmental regulations.
• Lead occupational safety initiatives, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Manage hazardous waste, air permitting and environmental reporting.
• Conduct safety training, audits and compliance inspections.
• Partner with operations, maintenance and laboratory personnel to improve safety performance.
• Support Management of Change (MOC), contractor safety, confined space, LOTO and emergency response programs.
• Promote a culture where safety and operational excellence go hand in hand.

I'm partnering with a well-established specialty chemical manufacturer located in the Kansas City metro area that is looking for an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a manufacturing environment and enjoys being part of the operation - not sitting behind a desk.

We're looking for a self-motivated, proactive leader who takes ownership, builds relationships on the plant floor, and continuously looks for ways to improve safety, compliance and operational performance.

What You'll Do

• Lead all Environmental, Health & Safety programs for a specialty chemical manufacturing facility.
