Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking an Engineering/Environmental health internship in Harrisburg, PA. You will support EHS efforts across laboratories and site operations, gaining foundational experience in safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Work with EHS, Facilities, Engineering, and Operations teams to strengthen a zero-injury culture while assisting with program administration, field observations, data tracking, and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in related field.
• Interest in environmental, health and safety, regulatory compliance, risk reduction, or manufacturing/laboratory operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excel/SharePoint/Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with workplace inspections and laboratory/shop floor observations.
• Support Job Safety Analyses (JSA), non-routine risk assessments, and hazard reviews.
• Track corrective actions from inspections, incidents, audits, risk assessments, and MOC activities.
• Maintain EHS documentation, training records, standard work, and communications for site teams.
• Support audit readiness and complete an EHS improvement project aligned with site priorities.

Work Location

The location for this position is Harrisburg, PA (Street Address: 2100 Paxton Street, Harrisburg, PA). This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Partner with EHS, Facilities, Engineering, Laboratory, and Operations teams to strengthen a zero injury and environmental defect culture. Assist with EHS program administration, field observations, documentation updates, data tracking, and corrective action follow-up.

In this role you'll assist with workplace inspections, laboratory/shop floor observations, and documentation of findings. Support Job Safety Analyses (JSA), non-routine risk assessments, and equipment or task hazard reviews. Track corrective actions from inspections, incidents, audits, risk assessments, and management of change activities. Maintain EHS documentation, training records, standard work, and communication materials for laboratory and site teams. Support internal/external audit readiness and complete an assigned EHS improvement project aligned with site priorities.

You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you:

Have earned a high school diploma or GED. Are currently enrolled in, or pursuing, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Sustainability, Public Health, or a related technical field from an accredited college or university—or have equivalent work experience (gap year students may also be considered). Have an interest in environmental, health and safety, regulatory compliance, risk reduction, or manufacturing/laboratory operations. Bring strong written and verbal communication skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, or other data/reporting tools is a plus.

Compensation

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $20.91 - 31.07/hour (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
