Job summary

TE Connectivity offers an Internship/Co-op in the AD&M Business Unit in Harrisburg, PA. You will support EHS efforts, work with cross-functional teams, and help drive safety, environmental compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will engage in field observations, documentation updates, data tracking and corrective action follow-up while developing professional skills through mentorship, hands-on projects, and a structured internship program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or pursuing degree in a related field
• Pursuing or holding a degree in safety, environment, engineering or related field
• Interest in environmental, health and safety, regulatory compliance, risk reduction
• Strong MS Office skills; Excel/SharePoint/Power BI a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist with workplace inspections and observations; document findings
• Support JSA, non-routine risk assessments, hazard reviews
• Track corrective actions from inspections, incidents and audits
• Maintain EHS documentation and training records

• Support EHS efforts across laboratory and site operations while gaining foundational experience in safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with EHS, Facilities, Engineering, Laboratory, and Operations teams to strengthen a zero injury and environmental defect culture.
• Assist with EHS program administration, field observations, documentation updates, data tracking, and corrective action follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Assist with workplace inspections, laboratory/shop floor observations, and documentation of findings.
• Support Job Safety Analyses (JSA), non-routine risk assessments, and equipment or task hazard reviews.
• Track corrective actions from inspections, incidents, audits, risk assessments, and management of change activities.
• Maintain EHS documentation, training records, standard work, and communication materials for laboratory and site teams.
• Support internal/external audit readiness and complete an assigned EHS improvement project aligned with site priorities.

You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you:

• Have earned a high school diploma or GED
• Are currently enrolled in, or pursuing, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Safety,Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Sustainability, Public Health, or a related technical field from an accredited college or university—or have equivalent work experience (gap year students may also be considered).
• Have an interest in environmental, health and safety, regulatory compliance, risk reduction, or manufacturing/laboratory operations.
• Bring strong written and verbal communication skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; Excel, SharePoint, Power BI, or other data/reporting tools is a plus.

Compensation

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $20.91 – 31.07/hour (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

Timeline

TE Connectivity recruits on campus between September and March for New Grad (FT), Rotational, Internship and Co-op positions beginning in May. Once you accept an offer, the onboarding process will begin in January for interns who have committed to offers in the fall semester and upon acceptance for interns who have committed to offers in the spring semester.
