Job summary

Pace seeks an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to support laboratory and office operations. You will coordinate environmental, health and safety and hazardous waste programs, maintain records, and help ensure compliance with requirements.

You will conduct inspections, assist with radiation surveys, and help deliver EHS training while collaborating with teams to improve safety performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of EHS experience.
• Working knowledge of intermediate to complex EHS principles, programs, procedures.
• Experience with testing, handling, and disposal of materials and hazardous items.
• Ability to administer EHS programs and policies.
• Ability to research and resolve EHS questions and problems.
• Learn and apply EHS policies for lab and operations.
• Proficient with databases, forms, and office software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain policies, use sound judgment, and handle sensitive matters.
• Team collaboration and productive working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide EHS support across operations including testing, inspections, reporting, and program administration.
• Explain EHS policies and assist staff with intermediate questions.
• Inspect waste containers and coordinate waste collection.
• Support laboratory radioactive materials program including shipments and surveys.
• Facilitate EHS training sessions for employees and leaders.
• Review and process logs, forms, and EHS records.
