Job summary

System One is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator for a contract role in Redmond, WA. Onsite, Monday through Friday, first shift, responsible for implementing and monitoring safety programs to ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and state regulations.

The role involves maintaining safety equipment inventory, conducting inspections, training staff on emergency response and hazardous materials handling, liaising with regulators, and supporting workers' compensation and ergonomics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree OR Associates degree.
• Minimum 3 years experience required.
• OSHA training credentials
• Experience in risk management, global EHS programs, laboratory safety, operations, construction safety preferred.
• Knowledge of EHS regulations (OSHA, DOT, EPA, State).

Responsibilities

• Maintains safety equipment inventory, performs periodic safety inspections, monitors hazardous waste removal vendors, and may assist in consolidating hazardous wastes (chemical, radioactive, and/or medical).
• Interacting with a variety of departments, conducts training in emergency response and hazardous material handling.
• Monitors environmental compliance and maintains liaison with appropriate regulatory agencies.
• Recommends corrective action where environmental health and safety hazards exist.
• Interacts with others in the administration of the worker’s compensation program and the implementation of workplace ergonomics and program solutions.
• Monitors industrial health compliance.
