Base pay range

$65,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Arconic is currently seeking a Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join our Central Maintenance Department based in Davenport, IA.

Job Summary:

The Environmental, Health, and Safety Coordinator manages the EHS systems for the Central Maintenance Department. You will play a key leadership role in reducing incident and injury risks while implementing Human Performance systems. EHS Coordinators collaborate closely with manufacturing leads, maintenance, engineering, and support staff to develop and deploy comprehensive EHS systems supporting Arconic’s commitment to zero non-compliance and zero injuries.

The EHS Coordinator reports to the Lead Area Manager and EHS Manager and works with other EHS professionals. The role is primarily during daytime shifts Monday through Friday, with support for off-shifts as needed. You will also be on-call 24/7 as the first line help chain.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop the professional growth of Safety Representatives and Human Performance Advocates.
  • Coordinate and implement EHS training for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Perform internal self-assessment activities (ASATs).
  • Assist in incident investigations, develop root causes, and track corrective actions.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to improve processes and reduce injury risks.
  • Create action plans and monitor progress in critical areas.
  • Conduct plant audits to identify risks and ensure compliance.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and complaints.
  • Manage workers’ compensation cases and coordinate with insurance carriers.
  • Review semi-annual and annual compliance reports for department Title V.
  • Conduct tank and satellite accumulation site inspections to meet regulatory standards.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • 2-4 years of EHS experience.
  • Compliance experience in the industry.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
  • Access to controlled technology, requiring relevant government authorizations for export control compliance.

Exceptional Candidates possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational/Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or Safety Science.
  • 3-5 years of EHS experience.
  • Proficiency in program development and implementation.
  • Experience in incident investigation and root-cause analysis.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
