Overview

Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator position at a large manufacturing facility in Battle Creek, MI. Responsibilities support the EHS Manager and help maintain compliance and safety programs.

Job duties

• Support and assist EHS Manager with strategic planning for development and use of specific awareness programs (5-S and Housekeeping, etc.)
• Support plant safety compliance per regulations
• Coordinate the technical health and safety activities with the facility
• Maintain knowledge of OSHA & MIOSHA standards, including inspection / review of new equipment and materials for the plant; conduct inspections to ensure compliance with regulations
• Support the ISO 45001 Safety Management System
