Overview

Recruitment Consultant at DSJ Global - EHS & Maintenance

Provides strategic leadership in advancing the Company's safety goals and initiatives. Oversees the development, implementation, and management of safety procedures and policies, ensures comprehensive safety training for personnel, and conducts formal audits to assess compliance. Manages assigned safety programs, including annual audits to verify adherence to regulatory and internal requirements.

Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Survey, compile, and analyze data related to occupational and environmental health risks, including chemical exposure, radiation, smoke, fumes, noise, temperature extremes, dusts, vapors, mists, gases, solvents, lighting, and ergonomic factors that may pose actual or potential health hazards.
• Conduct or oversee industrial hygiene exposure monitoring for employees.
• Lead or support incident investigations as needed.
• Promote and reinforce safe work practices across the organization.
• Provide managerial support and subject matter expertise to ensure robust Employee Health and Safety (EHS) systems and resources are in place.
• Offer technical guidance to management, labor organizations, government agencies, and civic groups on health-related concerns and the proper use of protective equipment.
• Monitor and ensure Company health standards comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Stay current with industry developments and evolving government regulations.

Direct reports

• Supervises two hourly employees.
• Duties include interviewing, hiring, training, performance management, rewarding, disciplining, and discharging employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; and resolving workplace issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing plant safety role.
