Job summary

The City of New York's NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene seeks an OEI Research Assistant in the Bureau of Environmental Disease Prevention to perform data entry, data verification, and communications on the main complaint line under supervision.

Under supervision with latitude for independent judgment, you will relay messages to staff, maintain digital archives, prepare weekly reports, and support program staff.

Qualifications

• Data entry accuracy and adherence to protocols.
• Ability to answer the main line and relay messages to staff.
• Act as liaison between clients and office personnel.

Responsibilities

• Data entry
• Review and verify data for accuracy and compliance with protocols
• Answer OEI's main line and relay messages to relevant personnel
• Serve as liaison between clients and office/field personnel on incoming complaints
• Prepare written reports on weekly field activities
• Maintain accurate digital archiving of all forms and reports
• Assist with mail delivery/pick-up from building's central mailroom
• Other duties as assigned
