Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 24 semester hours in environmental health, biological or physical science or registration as a Kentucky Environmental Specialist/Sanitarian under KRS 223.
  • Four years of experience in the environmental field.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Must participate in annual continuing education classes.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a staff of environmental health professionals in a comprehensive program.
  • Provide on-the-job training, performance appraisals and leave management.
  • Manage environmental health activities and related technically sensitive tasks.
  • Counsel employees on disciplinary actions following applicable regulations.
