Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology or a related discipline and 4 years of experience in environmental science, epidemiology, investigation of food borne illness, public health sanitation inspections or a related field, with 1 year as Environmental Sanitarian III level with MOA or equivalent elsewhere.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Environmental Health Services section, including program planning, directing, managing and organizing.
• Manage the section budget and grant applications/administration for multiple program grants.
• Provide direct supervision of Environmental Health Services staff, including scheduling, mentoring and evaluating performance.
• Review and revise applicable municipal codes and enforcement of Anchorage Municipal Codes 15 and 16.
