Job summary

Lone Star College invites applications for the Coordinator I, Environmental Health and Life Safety (EHLS) to support daily department operations, scheduling, records management, reports, and communications with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities include maintaining knowledge of the program scope, coordinating calendars, budget tracking, vendor communications, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations within a climate-controlled office in The Woodlands, TX.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher and at least 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to prepare and analyze reports.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily operations of assigned areas including records maintenance, updating marketing materials and publications, creating reports, and providing excellent customer service.
• Maintain current knowledge base of assigned areas' scope of work.
• Acts as a point of contact for internal and external customers.
• Coordinate calendars and schedules; assist with meetings and events including site selection and preparation.
• Monitor and control resources such as office supplies and equipment.
• Coordinate and communicate with vendors regarding departmental operations.
• Monitor and maintain website and SharePoint sites for department and external use.
• Assist with entering and tracking department expenditures and budget.
• Provide troubleshooting support on departmental operations to management.
• Maintain databases to support department operations.
• Participate in special projects as needed.
• Maintain compliance of departmental processes and documentation.
• Support management in monitoring operational deadlines.
