Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 30 semester hours in public health, environmental health, environmental science, or physical/biological sciences.
• Must obtain certification in Onsite Sewage Treatment and Disposal Systems within 6 months of hire.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to travel up to 100+ miles daily throughout Brevard County in all weather conditions.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office programs.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and approves water well construction applications.
• Coordinates permitting for limited use wells.
• Conducts site inspections of public swimming pools, bathing places, and wells.
• Engages in field work, public education, and investigation of environmental health concerns.
