Responsibilities

• Inspects, investigates and responds to complaints of unhealthy establishments for compliance with sanitary codes.
• Recommends enforcement measures to a supervisor.
• Secures compliance through promotion, education and enforcement.
• Receives complaints, inquiries regarding details, records data and prepares follow up reports.
• Issues violation notices and temporary permits when health requirements are established.
• Documents visits, maintains files and presents investigations and recommendations; submits reports to state/federal agencies.
• Attends staff meetings and professional development meetings.
