Job summary

Mohave County Public Health seeks a capable Environmental Health Supervisor to lead our Environmental Health Division. The role combines office leadership with field inspections across Mohave County, ensuring program performance and compliance with health laws.

Expect frequent travel and public-facing responsibilities. The supervisor will mentor staff, coordinate inspections, and respond to public health concerns while advancing education and outreach efforts and supporting emergency response

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher is not required, but a High School diploma/GED is mandatory.
• Current Arizona Sanitarian registration is required.
• Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible environmental health work, including 1 year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Environmental Health operations and supervise staff.
• Travel throughout Mohave County for inspections and program oversight.
• Respond to public concerns and provide expertise to businesses and community groups.
• Monitor multiple Environmental Health programs and identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare reports, budgets, and training materials; enforce health codes and regulations.
