Pinal County is seeking an Environmental Health Inspector to conduct inspections of onsite septic systems, nuisance and trash complaints, and evaluate installations for compliance with local rules. You will handle permit applications, assist the public through the process, review submittals, and draft deficiency letters.

You will also inspect waste hauling vehicles and prepare routine enforcement reports. Arizona residents with an associate degree and experience in public health are encouraged

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Environmental Health or related field.
• Two (2) years of experience monitoring, inspecting, and enforcing environmental health issues and complaints.

Responsabilités

• Inspect a variety of onsite septic systems for compliance with rules and regulations and document installations.
• Provide main office and satellite coverage, accept permit applications from the public and help customers through the submittal process.
• Inspect solid and liquid waste hauling trucks per established guidelines.
• Write notices of violations, deficiencies, and requests for further information.
• Explain environmental regulations to owners or operators and respond to inquiries.
• Maintain records of enforcement activities and prepare routine reports.
• Promote accountability, commitment, and teamwork in the workplace.
• Maintain confidentiality of work-related issues and county information.
