Job Summary

The Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager (EHS) is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety and environmental programs. Their primary goal is to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, minimize risk, and promote a safe and healthy working environment.

• Develop and implement comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate and conduct safety training programs for employees.
• Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate records of workplace incidents, inspections, and training activities.
• Collaborate with management to establish safety goals and objectives.
• Recommend and implement corrective actions to address safety and environmental issues.
• Act as the contact for regulatory agencies and ensure timely reporting, permits, etc.
• Develop emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• Direct experience in occupational safety, environmental science, or a similar background, with in-depth knowledge of current government safety regulations (OSHA), workers’ compensation, emergency response planning and procedures, first aid, CPR, ergonomics, and maintaining safety-related records, permits, the DEP, EPA, and other environmental regulatory agencies, in accordance with federal, state, local, and company regulations.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• A degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
