Job summary

Century Sign Builders is seeking an experienced Environmental Graphic Designer to join our team. You will craft signage and environmental graphics from concept through production, ensuring three-dimensional feasibility and alignment with project goals.

You’ll collaborate with contractors, architects, and fabricators, applying strong typography, color theory, and material knowledge to deliver scalable, context-aware designs. A fast-paced studio context awaits.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing multiple concurrent design projects from concept through production.
  • Strong spatial awareness and ability to think three-dimensionally.
  • Expertise in typography, color, and material usage across architectural signage and environmental applications.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and visual.
  • A collaborative spirit with a flexible, proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced studio environment and adapt to shifting project needs.
  • A curious, open-minded designer who enjoys learning and contributing to a team

Responsibilities

  • Design with solutions in mind—balancing aesthetics, client goals, and budget constraints.
  • Develop and present creative concepts that comply with ADA and relevant code requirements.
  • Think dimensionally—designing signage and graphics that work at scale and in context.
  • Collaborate with general contractors, architects, fabricators, and internal team members to see projects through from concept to installation.
  • Conduct site-specific research and develop strategic design approaches that align with project objectives.
  • Contribute insights into structural, spatial, and planning considerations.
  • Maintain strong client and vendor relationships through responsive communication and follow-through.
  • Present designs internally and externally with clarity and professionalism
