Job summary

ELOS Environmental, an Aventia Company, seeks a GIS Analyst to support a multidisciplinary team of environmental scientists and project managers in Hammond, LA. You will process spatial data, create maps, and assist with technical reports.

Responsibilities include data management, QA/QC, cartographic quality, and coordinating field data collection using ArcGIS apps. A Bachelor's in Geography or related field with 2+ years ArcGIS experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Environmental Science, GIS, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience using ArcPro and ArcGIS Online.
• Experience with ArcGIS Field Maps, Collector, Survey123, and StoryMaps.
• Proficient in spatial queries, overlays, and buffers.
• Strong map design skills and georeferencing understanding.
• Ability to integrate field GPS data into GIS projects.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and maintain spatial and tabular environmental data.
• Perform spatial analysis to support impact assessments and site planning.
• Create high-quality figures for reports, permits, and presentations.
• Ensure cartographic accuracy and project standard adherence.
• Build and maintain geospatial databases for long-term projects.
• Coordinate with field teams to collect data using GPS and mobile GIS tools.
• Prepare figures for permit applications and compliance documents.
• Translate environmental information into accessible spatial data.
