Job summary

HydroGeoLogic, Inc. seeks a Geologist I in Overland Park, KS to support EPA, Air Force, and Army Corps of Engineers environmental projects. Will work in-office or in the field, with up to 60% travel across the Central U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Geophysics, Geological/Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and other applications.
  • Possess or be able to obtain OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification and PPE proficiency.
  • Interest in pursuing licensure as a Professional Geologist (P.G.).
  • Ability to learn and adopt new technologies and digital tools to improve project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure field operations are conducted safely per Site Safety and Health Plans.
  • Collect water, soil, soil vapor, surface water, and sediment samples.
  • Oversee field subcontractors and drilling, monitoring wells, waste transport, and heavy equipment.
  • Contribute to work plans and deliverables (RI Reports, SSHP/HASPs, etc.).
  • Assist with data entry, analysis and interpretation of environmental data.
  • Use approved digital and AI tools to support documentation and reporting.
  • Assist with remedial system operations and maintenance.
  • Travel up to 60% within the U.S.
