Job summary

HydroGeoLogic, Inc. seeks a Geologist I in Reston, VA to support EPA, DoD, NASA environmental projects. The role involves field sampling of groundwater and soil, data interpretation, and drafting technical deliverables. Approximately 50% travel is expected across sites in VA and the Northeast.

Ideal candidates hold a geology-related bachelor’s degree, strong teamwork and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office. PPE and OSHA HAZWOPER readiness may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support EPA, Army Corps projects in VA and Northeast.
• Conduct field sampling of water, soil, and sediment.
• Oversee field subcontractors for drilling and waste transport.
• Prepare work plans and deliverables (RI Reports, SSHP/HASPs).
• Assist with data entry, analysis, and interpretation of environmental data.
• Travel up to 50% within the U.S., primarily Eastern region.
