North Wind Portage seeks an Environmental Geologist to support DOE projects in Ventura County, providing environmental investigation, sampling, and remediation oversight. The role emphasizes field data collection, drilling oversight, and coordination with subcontractors and clients.

Required are a geology/environmental science degree and 5+ years in the field, with 3+ years in soil, groundwater, and air sampling. Strong written reporting and safety leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in geology, engineering, or environmental science.
• Minimum 5 years of related environmental field experience.
• 3+ years of soil, groundwater and air sampling experience.
• Knowledge of multiple media and SOPs for investigation and corrective action.
• Experience writing technical plans and reports for regulatory review.
• Drilling oversight including soil borings, monitoring wells, and abandonments.

Responsibilities

• Groundwater, soil, and air sampling and data collection.
• Field drilling oversight of investigative/remedial projects.
• Technical oversight of drilling, sampling and subcontractors.
• Site safety oversight for project team and subcontractors.
• Provide data analysis and write site/field reports.
